James Klopfleisch

James Klopfleisch is a composer/performer currently living in LA. His work lies on the line between music + performance event, presenting itself somewhere between, framing of sound in time & the relations between ever blurring historical genres + contemporary listening habitats. His work focuses on processes focusing on sound, but often draw in situational & spectacle elements. He’s written for: Car alarms, coughers, tape, cell phone field-recordings, sandwich with a God-Complex, rolling objects, flash drive, as well as normal instruments; Contrabass, electric bass, & objects; organized events between a moment and 7 days in duration. Has performed frequently in the U.S. & periodically in Iceland.
